By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
BygPoints helps you organize credit-card rewards; BygTab helps a household track expenses, receipts, and tax figures. The Service is an informational and organizational tool. It is not financial, tax, credit, or legal advice, and we are not your advisor, broker, or agent. Decisions about applying for, using, or cancelling any financial product are yours alone. Consider a qualified professional for advice specific to you.
We compile card details and issuer application rules from public sources and refresh them periodically, including with AI assistance. This information can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong.
Some features use AI (Google Gemini) to read documents or answer questions. AI output can be inaccurate — treat it as a helpful draft, not truth, and review it before relying on it. See the Privacy Policy (Section 5) for data handling.
Provide accurate information and keep your login secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. In a shared household, everyone in it sees that household's shared data — invite only people you trust. Use the Service lawfully; don't break its security, access others' data, scrape it, resell it, or misuse the AI to process data you have no right to.
You keep ownership of the data you enter. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process, sync, and display it back to you and your household, and to operate the features you use (including sending relevant content to the processors named in the Privacy Policy). We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't sell it.
The BygPoints and BygTab software, design, and content (excluding your data and third-party trademarks) belong to us; you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it. Any future paid features ("BygPoints+") are offered under the pricing and terms shown at purchase.
BygPoints has a free tier that does not require payment. BygPoints+ is an optional paid upgrade, sold as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app before you pay and at the checkout page itself; applicable taxes (including GST/HST for Canadian customers) are calculated and added at checkout.
Billing. Payments on the web are processed by Stripe; purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed and billed by those stores under their own terms. We never receive or store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period until cancelled. Where a free trial is offered, we collect your payment method up front and the first charge occurs when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, from the billing portal linked in the app or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals; your BygPoints+ features remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Purchases made through Apple or Google must be cancelled in that store's subscription settings — we cannot cancel them for you. Deleting your account also ends the subscription.
Refunds. If BygPoints+ is not what you expected, email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full, no reason required. This applies to a first purchase and to an annual renewal. Beyond 14 days we do not generally refund partial periods, but we would rather resolve a problem than keep money from an unhappy customer — ask. Lifetime purchases are covered by the same 14-day window. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Purchases made through Apple or Google are refunded by that store under its policy, not by us. Nothing here limits any statutory refund or cancellation right you have where you live.
Price changes. We may change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until we tell you otherwise by email at least 30 days before a renewal, so you always have the chance to cancel first.
The free tier may change, add or remove features, or be interrupted or discontinued. We run on free/low-cost infrastructure and don't promise uptime — export anything important to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the information (card data, rules, calculations, reminders, or AI output) is accurate, complete, or current, or that the Service is uninterrupted or error-free. Reminders are best-effort and must not be your only safeguard against missing a payment or deadline.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost rewards, missed bonuses, missed payments, fees, interest, credit-score impacts, or lost data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the prior 12 months or CAD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions; there, the above applies to the maximum extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Ontario courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights where you live.
We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
